Ocab Asbestos Training – theoretical and practical training
To meet the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s requirements for general training in the safe handling of asbestos, you need both a theoretical section and practical training.
The training is intended for individuals who may be exposed to asbestos-containing dust or waste. After completing the course, participants will have the knowledge required to work safely and prevent accidental exposure.
Please note – this training is intended for those who may come into contact with asbestos, for example in construction, demolition, property management or installation work – not for those who will carry out asbestos removal.
Meet legal requirements and create a safer work environment
Do you work in environments where asbestos may be present? Then the right knowledge is crucial – both for safety and for meeting legal requirements. According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations on risks in certain types of work (AFS 2023:13), both supervisors and workers handling asbestos or asbestos-containing materials must have relevant training. Employers are responsible for ensuring that staff have the correct skills and that their knowledge is kept up to date over time.
Ocab’s theoretical and practical asbestos training provides participants with the knowledge required to identify risks, work more safely and comply with current regulations in environments where asbestos may be present.
The training is suitable for, among others:
- Tradespeople, technicians and property caretakers
- Construction and contracting personnel
- Supervisors and site managers
- Project managers, clients and designers
- Maintenance and operations personnel in older buildings and facilities
With the right training, workplace risks are reduced while ensuring that your operations comply with the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s requirements.

The training is intended for tradespeople, property caretakers, project managers and similar professions – not for those who will perform asbestos removal.
Price: 3 390 SEK incl VAT
Asbestos – practical section only (Part 2)
For those who have only completed theoretical training – supplement your theory with practical training
⏱ Duration: 2 hours practical training
In Part 2, we go through practical elements related to asbestos training – including how to correctly use protective equipment and how to act if you suspect asbestos in the workplace. The purpose is to help you avoid accidental exposure, not to perform asbestos removal.
The training is intended for those who may come into contact with asbestos – for example within construction, demolition, property management or installation work – not for those who will carry out the actual asbestos removal.
Please note: A passing theoretical section is required for approval. You need this section to fulfill the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s requirement for a practical component – if you have only completed the theoretical part.
